The guests of the university were the director of the enterprise Petr Kamnev, technical director Andrey Makarychev, head of the production workshop of large transformers Sergey Kozlovsky and head of training and development of personnel Natalia Kukovitskaya.
Top managers made a sightseeing tour of the university's innovation centers. They visited the machine room and laboratories of the Central Collective Use Center "Nanotech", the Research Institute "Electrotechnologies", where they got acquainted with the equipment for ion-plasma modification of the surfaces of parts, the laboratory of advanced additive and foundry technologies, visited the Research Institute "Electrotechnical complexes and systems", created on the basis of SDB -3 at the Department of Electromechanics.
Then there was a meeting with the university administration headed by Rector Sergey Novikov, at which the guests spoke about their company, and its plans.
The factory workers noted that today any production and business needs advanced scientific developments. Therefore, the plant is interested in cooperation with university scientists. As far as technologies are concerned, the parties have found common ground here as well. Moreover, personnel policy is one of the priorities of the enterprise.
“I am impressed by the ambition of your students and their high potential, which is inherent only in the younger generation,” said Petr Kamnev. - We are ready to invite your students to practice, and teachers and young scientists - to seminars and conferences held by our holding, so that they are aware of the latest trends in the industry. In addition to the traditionally in-demand technologists and designers, we need financiers, economists, quality specialists, and IT specialists.”
For his part, Sergey Novikov stressed that the university is ready to train students for the specific needs of the company. “We are open for communication; we only need specific technical tasks from you. I am sure that our research work in the field of electro mechanics and electrical engineering will be useful for production, we have interesting developments in coatings, casting, materials science,” the rector said.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the electrical plant invited university specialists to visit: “We will be happy to show and tell everything!”
Let us add that the Ufa Electric Plant was launched in 2011 and today is a key electrical engineering enterprise in Russia.
In 2021, its site became part of the international electrical engineering holding ERSO (AFK Systems), which plans to increase output and become the best transformer plant in Eastern Europe.
The Ufa plant has a full cycle of all operations that are necessary in the manufacture of transformers. The main product line is power transformers with a voltage of 35, 110, 220 kW with a power of up to 200 MVA and distribution transformers.
