More than 350 foreign students from 48 countries of the world study at USATU. Therefore, in addition to Russian holidays, in our large international family of UGATU, national celebrations of other states are also celebrated. Therefore, in 2022, according to the eastern calendar, we are celebrating the year of the Tiger on February 1. In Asian countries, Chinese New Year is celebrated on a grand scale, cheerfully and noisily. How our students from Asian countries celebrate the holiday, we learned firsthand.
IEM graduate student Tran Ngoc Hai came to study at USATU from Vietnam. He likes to communicate with people, and he loves travel, airplanes and airports. That is why he chose the direction of "Personnel Management" at the Aviation University. For four years, he perfectly learned Russian, found a job he liked, fell in love with the university and Ufa. However, he does not forget the traditions and customs of the country where he was born and raised.
- The Vietnamese New Year is the main and revered holiday, - says Hai. - We gather with relatives and friends, prepare a traditional dish - banchung - from rice, green peas and pork. Red color prevails in festive clothes and decorations. We give each other presents. At home, in Vietnam, children and grandchildren congratulate their parents, grandparents and wish them longevity, good health and prosperity. In addition, adults give money to children, for happiness. Grand celebrations are arranged on the streets with colorful fireworks.
This year we did not celebrate our New Year in Ufa so widely due to pandemic restrictions. However, before that, they always gathered with fellow compatriots - students of Bashkir universities and celebrated the holiday according to centuries-old national traditions.
Tran Ngoc Hai is sure that the Year of the Tiger will surely bring good luck and success to everyone. Hai himself wants to successfully complete his studies in the future and to apply all the knowledge gained at USATU in practice - in one of the international airports of Vietnam. He succeed in the modeling business. Today, our student demonstrates new collections of clothes on the stages of the country and collaborates with the leading modeling agency in the region.
