For an hour, the guests got acquainted with innovative laboratories and educational centers, modern equipment and advanced technologies, the research potential of the university, and new infrastructure solutions.
Rector Sergei Novikov, vice-rectors, representatives of scientific schools told the leaders of the mayor's office about the tasks and prospects for the development of the university. The visit began with a tour of the Multifunctional Student Office.
- Such an office is available only in our aviation university, - Sergey Vladimirovich noted. – He fully showed its demand among both students and teachers. Soon the functionality of the MSO will be expanded: it is planned to organize a "digital" organization of settlement in the campus without any bureaucratic delays.
The next point of visit is the student construction bureau "Power Machines". Today, our young researchers can cooperate with one of the largest energy company in Russia within the walls of the university.
- We solve several problems at once - we open wide opportunities for students and stop the outflow of promising specialists from the republic, - the rector emphasized.
Then the guests visited the laboratories of additive and foundry technologies, rapid prototyping, research of the properties of materials, visited the scientific and educational center "Nanostructural Materials and High Technologies" and the exhibition and presentation hall, saw the robot-machine with parallel kinematics developed at USATU, etc.
Rector Sergei Novikov and Mayor Sergei Grekov also talked to the teachers of Lyceum No. 153. It is this educational institution that trains the best graduates of the republic - winners of various olympiads and competitions.
- It is necessary that these students enter our regional universities. Moreover, here the university, the city and the republic should join their efforts, - Sergey Vladimirovich summed up the conversation.
Representatives of the Ufa mayor's office got acquainted with our infrastructure innovations - the demonstration "glass" hall under construction for the racing team "UGATU Racing Team", the new conference hall named after V.M. Parashchenko, the modernized cinema hall in building No. 6, a modern cafe.
The head of administration was particularly interested in the developments of the Research Institute "Electrotechnical Complexes and Systems" of the Department of Electromechanics of the USATU. Sergei Nikolayevich suggested that young inventors create modern engineering projects for our metropolis.
