The Ministry of Health has published a memo for Russians with asymptomatic and mild COVID-19.
The document is called "Memo for citizens on actions in case of asymptomatic or mild course of a new coronavirus infection and acute respiratory viral infection." It contains recommendations for different groups of citizens, as well as a separate section for children.
Key points for those vaccinated, revaccinated and recovered less than six months ago (if the test is positive, there are no symptoms and you are not at risk):
- treatment is not required;
- you can get sick leave;
Self-isolation and temperature checks are required at least once a day.
If you have symptoms or are at risk (age over 60, chronic illness, overweight):
— stay at home, if possible, isolating from other family members in a separate room;
- take sick leave;
- ventilate the room;
- observe the drinking regime;
— measure the temperature at least three times a day;
- if possible, measure the saturation with a pulse oximeter twice a day (normal values \u200b\u200b not lower than 95-96 percent);
Use symptomatic treatment, but do not self-administer antibiotics.
If the condition worsens, you should consult a specialist by calling 122 or call an ambulance.
The main provisions for those who have not been vaccinated and have not been ill (with any symptoms of SARS, with a positive smear for SARS-CoV-2, regardless of symptoms):
-stay home;
—call the 122 service;
- in case of deterioration, call an ambulance at number 103.
If a child is sick:
- leave him/her at home and call a doctor;
- do not self-medicate;
- in case of deterioration, call an ambulance at number 103.
The Ministry of Health also strongly recommends that you continue to follow the previously recommended precautions: wear masks, keep a social distance, wash and treat your hands with an antiseptic, and avoid crowded places.
