“We are presenting a personal scholarship, established in 2007 in memory of the General Director of UEBPA Valery Pavlovich Lesunov,” said Yevgeny Semivelichenko, Managing Director of UEC-UEBPA, at the award ceremony. - The preference is given to the students who not only study excellently, but also are engaged in scientific projects and developments related to the main aspect of our company - engine building.
All scholarship winners are guaranteed employment at the company upon graduation.
Valery Pavlovich Lesunov (1949 - 2004) - General Director of UEBPA in 1998-2004. He put a lot of effort and energy into improving the economy of the company. Under his leadership and with the direct participation of V.P. Lesunov, the association mastered the serial production of the AL-31FP aircraft gas turbine engine with a rotary jet nozzle, and began the production of AL-31ST gas turbine engines for gas pumping stations and power plants.
