As part of the annual Student Science Week, a meeting of the section "Software Engineering" was held at the Faculty of Informatics and Robotics.
Like every year, freshmen actively participate in the event, presenting their first independent team projects. The performances of the teams of programmers are always bright and interesting, the participants are happy to listen to each other, ask questions, and discuss a variety of topics.
This year, reports were heard from 32 teams, which include from 2 to 6 people, in total, more than 150 students became participants in the section.
“The topics of the projects are very diverse, - the jury members, associate professors of the Department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics, Lyudmila Karamova and Yulia Valiakhmetova, - But all of them are connected with modern programming technologies, algorithmization. Children independently choose development tools, platforms and technologies, develop scenarios and character modeling. Among the projects presented to the experts, a graphics engine, various mobile applications, for example, for organizing note-taking, informational websites and sites for tracking videos and films, a site for divination by tarot cards, several computer and mobile games - arcades, novels and even a USATU navigator with extended functionality.”
The results of the section will be summed up in the coming days, the winners and prizewinners will receive well-deserved awards.
