Bergamo, trento and the dolomites with “erasmus+”

In the spring of this year, ERASMUS+ scholarship program held another open competition for a semester inclusive study of students abroad. The selection criteria were academic achievements, letters of recommendation and motivation, and a certificate of the language level.

From the results of the competition, masters and senior undergraduate students of the Faculty of Informatics and Robotics Albert Niyazgulov, Victoria Zhirnova, Ruslan Khairullin, Artem Yakovlev and Anastasia Shemagonova won scholarships, who are now studying in Trento (Italy).

The Erasmus program primarily aimed to develop student’s mobility and cultural exchange between them, so our students manage not only to study, but also to “make friends”. They get to know peers from all over the world, immerse themselves in the linguistic and cultural environment and, of course, find time to travel.

Albert Niyazgulov shared his impressions:

“I flew to Italy on August 20th and quarantined in Bergamo. I really liked this city with its incredibly beautiful architecture.

 

I have been in Trento since the beginning of September; I live in a separate dorm room and have already met all the neighbors. In my hostel, there are students from Vietnam, Chile, Lebanon, India, but mostly Italians.

 

I go to lectures at the university, almost all of them conduct in the university, every day we have 1-3 sessions, two hours each. All the classes are conduct in English, students and professors have a very high level of knowledge of the language. I liked the informal atmosphere at the lectures - everyone can openly communicate and discuss incomprehensible moments and ask questions.

 

I went to the Dolomites with a group of boys, climbed to an altitude of 2500m (elevation difference 1100m), and covered 10 km in one direction in 3 hours. The sceneries are fantastic! On the way, we met many people of all ages; here it considered as a very popular outdoor activity.

 

I haven’t had time to visit other cities of Italy yet, I plan to visit Venice and Verona in the near future, and I also want to fly to other European countries”.
