The month of October played a crucial role in the history of UAI-USATU. In mid-October 1941, began the evacuation of the Rybin Aircraft-Motor-Construction Plant and Rybin Aviation Institute in Ufa. Under very difficult conditions, teachers, employees and students simultaneously prepared their possessions for shipment and built an anti-tank trench 25 km away from the city. Many students mobilized for the labor front, participated in preparations for the evacuation of the plant. They worked 14-15 hours a day, often under heavy bombardments and shelling.

There were lack of work force for transportation. Equipment and possessions sent by rail and water. Teachers and students also left the place.

The cold autumn changed in to an early winter. The last barge froze in the river, and those who rode it had to continue by foot, by sleigh and by rail. It took almost two months.

Initially small two-story building was allocated for the institute on Uralsky Prospekt (now Ibragimova Boulevard)

On October 1 1942, at the engine building plant opened the evening school of Ufa Aviation Institute (now the evening school at PJSC UEC-UEBPA).  During the war, the branch did not have its own training center, and classes were held in two rooms of the engine room and other office premises of the plant. Only in 1945, five auditoriums built in the factory management building.

On October 10 1942, the Commissioner for the Aviation Industry of the USSR signed Order No. 403 establishing the permanent location of the Institute in Ufa and naming it Ufa Aviation Institute named after “Ordzhonikidze".

On October 1, 1969, started the training and laboratory building of the Faculty of Air Engines (now FAEET building No. 2).

According to the Lyceum that crated on October 1991, graduates who become the winners of international and All-Russian Olympiads in various subjects become the best students in the university.

In October (since 2007), the All-Russian Youth Scientific Conference "Mavlyutov Readings" is held at the University. Named after R. Mavlyutov, a prominent scientist, organizer of science and high schools, rector of our university from 1961 to 1992, the conference gathers participants from different cities of Russia.
