On May 9, our university, together with the whole country, celebrates the 77th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Traditionally, officers and cadets of our Military Training Center take an active part in the celebrations. Early in the morning, they joined the memorial ceremony in Ufa's Victory Park.

Here, on behalf of the multinational people of the republic, the Head of the region, Radiy Khabirov, laid a wreath at the monument dedicated to the immortal feat of the Heroes of the Soviet Union Alexander Matrosov and Minnigali Gubaidullin, at the foot of which the Eternal Flame burns.

After the anthems of Russia and Bashkortostan were played, the ceremony participants honored the memory of the defenders of the Motherland who had not returned from the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence. Then the Head of the Republic laid flowers at the grave of twice Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Gareev, at the busts of the Hero of Russia, Major General Minigali Shaymuratov and Major General Tagir Kusimov, installed on the Alley of Heroes of the Memorial of Glory, and at the monument to home front workers.

The next location of the festive celebrations in Ufa was the square in front of the City Council, where the republican Victory Parade took place, the participants of which were also representatives of the USATU.

With a drill step, two parade squads - 140 cadets and officers of the MTC marched as part of a column of military personnel of the Ufa garrison, employees of law enforcement agencies, veterans of military operations and military service, cadets and cadets of educational institutions. The deputy head of the MTC, Colonel Marat Farkhiev, headed our military squad.

“Since April, our students have been conscientiously and diligently rehearsing, so today they marched perfectly. I am sure that such events raise the morale of our guys and give a sense of solidarity with all the people of their country,” said the head of the Military Training Center, Colonel Yevgeny Sotnikov.

He also noted that work on the patriotic education of the younger generation and the preservation of historical memory is constantly being carried out at the Military Training Center. A clear illustration of this is the current and growing exposition organized in the military center. With the help of officers, cadets and students, unique exhibits about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and their awards have been collected here. On a separate stand - medals and orders established during the war.

Fathers-commanders and their wards on a permanent basis also carry out search work, returning to relatives and friends the memory of their dead or missing grandfathers and great-grandfathers. In addition, the military relics found during the excavations occupy a worthy place among museum exhibits.

Today, the search team of the Aviator Higher Educational Training Center (commander - head of the cycle, senior lecturer, lieutenant colonel Vener Sitdikov) is a full member of the Bashkir branch of the Search Movement of Russia OOD and the Regional Public Fund of Search Teams of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
