The results of the semi-finals of the competition of final qualifying works of the All-Russian Engineering Competition have been summed up. Over 300 graduate students were among the finalists of the competition.
Among them are six representatives of USATU:
Danar Mansurov (undergraduate) with the project "Development of technology for robotic welding of sectors of the outer housing of the low-pressure turbine support of the PD-14 engine";
Anastasia Platonova (master's student) "Providing techno-sphere safety during the operation of a machine-building enterprise in normal and emergency mode";
Denis Tarakanov (postgraduate student) "Development of a digital model for biogas production for the design and operation of a biogas plant based on energy-efficient food waste processing technology";
Gulshat Faizova (specialist) “Information support for the process of identifying aircraft dynamic aeroelasticity parameters according to flight test data”;
Elvina Khaliullina (master's student) "Assessment of the fire and explosion hazard of lithium batteries by the mechanical puncture method";
Alsu Shaniyazova (undergraduate) "Re-cultivation of oil-contaminated lands."
The finalists of the VEC will compete for victory at the final stage of the competition, which will be held in Moscow in full-time format in late May - early June. They will display their competition entries to industry experts.
The projects of the winners will receive support from the competition’s industrial partners, including State Corporation Rosatom, State Corporation Roscosmos, State Corporation Rostec, JSC Russian Helicopters, PJSC RusHydro, JSC Russian Railways, State Development Corporation VEB.RF, JSC United Instrument-Making Corporation, JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation, and PJSC United Aircraft Corporation.
The All-Russian Engineering Competition (AEC) is an annual intellectual competition that has been held since 2014. The organizer of the competition is the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The operator of the competition is the National Research Nuclear University MEPI.
The competition is held in order to develop the engineering human resources potential of the Russian economy through the evaluation of individual engineering projects, engineering and technical development of qualifying works for a sustainable increase in the overall level of engineering training, as well as popularization of engineering professions and engineering education in the country.
Participants of the competition can be students of final courses of bachelor's, specialist's, master's and postgraduate studies of universities.
