On June 10, at the PJSC "UEC-UMPO", held an expanded meeting of the governing council of the project "Associated Schools of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia", which was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Alexei Elizariev.

During the meeting, the results of the work for the 2021-22 academic year were summed up and the work plan for the next year was approved

The project "Associated Schools of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia" was launched in the Republic of Bashkortostan on the initiative of the Chairman of the BRO SoyuzMash of Russia Evgeny Semivelichenko in 2016. To date, the association of schools with physical, mathematical and engineering specialization includes 31 educational institutions of the region. SoyuzMash associated schools have new opportunities for both students and teaching staff. Thanks to the project, it will be possible to increase the interest of the younger generation in working specialties and bring the quality of education to a new level.

USATU works closely with the schools included in this project. Virtually all of them signed agreements on interaction and cooperation. A number of schools, including Ufa Lyceum No. 153, Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 93, Gymnasium No. 64 and Sterlitamak Gymnasium No. 1, are partners in the USATU-MIPT consortium.

Most of the Ufa schools of the project take an active part in career guidance and educational activities of the university. These include the Day Without Turnstiles at USATU, the Open Days of the university, its institutes and faculties.

  Children from the project schools are regular participants in the educational and scientific competitions of the university: Olympiads, the regional tour of the International Olympiad in the History of Aviation and Aeronautics. A.F. Mozhaisky, open Olympiad for the Cup of the rector of the USATU, Republican Olympiad for the Cup. Yu.A. Gagarin, the school section of the All-Russian Youth Scientific Conference "Mavlyutov Readings"

As part of individual project activities, students of grades 9-10 of associated schools develop their projects under the guidance of mentors - teachers of the departments of aircraft engines, green chemistry and resource-saving technologies, electromechanics, physics of advanced materials and, in parallel with research work, are engaged in the practical implementation of their projects in student design bureaus " Formula-student", applied heat engineering and circles (Club "Young electrician"). Students of the project schools are students of the Sunday Mathematical School of USATU.

In addition, the department for work with university applicants is implementing a project for career guidance testing of students from general educational organizations in Ufa and districts of the republic called “My Future Profession”, conducting a series of presentations of the university at meetings of parents and school graduates of the association.

The university has a program of vacation career guidance schools, one of which is the International Aerospace School. U.N. Sultanov. Last summer, the pilot of the GeoIT vacation school was successfully launched, which will continue this year as well. In July, the summer school "Electricity of the Future" will open.

The implementation of the project "Engineering Classes of the Aircraft Building Profile", in which USATU acts as the base regional university, is also carried out in the schools of the association. We hope that joint efforts with our strategic partner BROO "Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia" will allow us to successfully implement this project in the near future.

Summing up, we can safely say that the interaction and active cooperation of the university with the Associated Schools of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia brings positive results and helps to attract applicants to USATU, and subsequently to the enterprises of the aircraft and engineering industries in Russia.
