The topic of the meeting, chaired by Rector Sergei Novikov, was the prevention of negative manifestations among students.

The invited experts were the Head of Staff of the Interdepartmental Security Council of the Republic of Baskortostan Valery Oleinik, Deputy Head of the Center for Combating Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Bashkortostan Edgar Poghosyan, Senior Detective of the Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Bashkortostan Madina Khusainova, Head of the Department of Psychological Assistance of the Main State Institution of the Republican Resource Center "Family" Iskander Mustafin .

Vice-rectors, deans, heads of departments attended the hall, and heads of departments, teachers, curators and students joined the online broadcast.

In his speech, Sergey Novikov recalled that the university systematically takes measures to strengthen anti-terrorist protection measures, and conducts explanatory work to prevent negative manifestations among young people.

“Our task in the current conditions is to form students' resistance to the increased flow of negative information, to foster a negative attitude towards terrorism and extremism, as well as to promote a healthy lifestyle. We must convey reliable information to the children and talk about the consequences of certain actions. Therefore, we need to consolidate all the forces of the university - the leadership, deans, curators, the trade union committee," the rector emphasized.

In his report, Edgar Poghosyan noted that the peculiarity of today's terrorism is the use of information influence as an important element in manipulating the consciousness and behavior of society in order to attract new members to its ranks. The most active users of the network are young people with an unformed worldview and an unstable psyche - they are at risk for the spread of extremist sentiments. Therefore, students need to treat everything carefully and deliberately that may be associated with extremist and terrorist activities, for which knowledge of legal prohibitions is necessary. Further, the speaker, using examples, considered the methods of covert influence on young people through false "stuffing" in the media and social networks.

Colonel Yevgeny Sotnikov, head of the Military Training Center at the USATU, made a short excursion into the history of the confrontation between Russia and NATO.

Madina Khusainova introduced the audience to the legal aspects of the problems of drug addiction, backing them up with crime statistics in recent years.

Iskander Mustafin spoke about how to cope with anxiety and fear, where to go for psychological help.

Further, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Alexey Elizariev voiced questions from the chat of the meeting participants and asked law enforcement specialists and psychological support services to answer them.

At the end of the meeting, Rector Sergey Novikov thanked the speakers for their participation, help and support.
