On October 17,held the online qualifying round of the quarterfinals of the ICPC World Championship in Programming. 264 student teams representing 28 educational institutions from 12 cities of the Ural region participated in this competition.
According to the final results, all six teams of USATU that participated in the competition emerged victorious in the quarterfinal round. Four teams formed from the faculty of informatics and robotics students and two from the faculty of general sciences.

- Ufa SATU: Dungeon masters (Sabirzyanov, Shaikhlbarin, Alektorov)
Now students are intensively preparing for the upcoming tests, which will also be held online at the end of October.

In the framework of the ICPC, participants from Russia have become absolute champions: since 2000 they have won 34 gold medals. Although universities from large cities are in the lead (the team of St. Petersburg ITMO University won the champion title 7 times, St. Petersburg State University 4 times, and Moscow State University 2 times) the other regions are also not far behind: Saratov State University became champions in 2006. The team from the Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky won the championship this year.
