The online pitching of the finalists of the All-Russian competition of social projects "Innosocium" has ended. Innosocium Social Platform Foundation of the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science organize the event.

Second-year student of the Faculty of Protection in Emergency Situations, the head of the Green Project of USATU Kamilla Chuvashayeva won the nomination for the "Sustainable Development".

“I am extremely happy with this success! For our team, this means an even larger project and even more benefits for all residents of the city. I can't wait to get started!" - the student commented on her victory.

Note that in the fourth season of the All-Russian competition of social projects "Innosocium" over 700 applications from 132 higher educational institutions of Russia were submitted in six nominations. In January, based on the results of the assessments, the expert jury formed a shortlist of 30 finalists - five in each category. The pitching participants were given three minutes to present the project, and after answering the questions of the jury, voting took place.

We emphasize that the winners will receive grants in the amount of 300,000 rubles. In addition, they will be able to present their projects at SPIEF 2022.

Here is what Kamilla Chuvashaeva said in the presentation of her project:

“In the USATU Green Project student environmental community, we are engaged in environmental education and create a system for separate waste collection. Regional authorities and public organizations of eco-volunteers support our projects.

We conducted a survey among Ufa students, and it turned out that 85% of them are ready to sort waste if there is infrastructure. Therefore, we put an art object in the form of an airplane for collecting caps, as well as containers for plastic. In addition, they were in great demand.

The goal of our project is to make sure that every student and teacher knows what happens to plastic during recycling. To do this, we want to hold workshops on making key rings from recycled plastic with our own hands during the next academic year.

In fact, our workshop is a mini plastic recycling plant. We need a bike shredder to shred the caps and an injector to melt them down and inject them into the molds.

During the master class, the participants themselves will bring the collected caps, sort them, grind them, melt them and turn them into a keychain in the form of an airplane - the symbol of our university. Keychain can be taken home. The unit is small and easy to transport, so we plan to take part in all university events, as well as eco and healthy lifestyle festivals in the city and the republic.
