The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Ufa Humanitarian Scientific Forum" started at the university. Its theme is devoted to the spatial development of Russia in the face of new sanctions and restrictions. The event was attended by prominent political figures, representatives of universities, scientific institutions, teachers and students of the university.
Rector Sergey Novikov addressed the conference participants with a greeting:
“Today, history poses new challenges for us. The transformation of modern society, the issues of digitalization have acquired new content. In addition, the main directions of the forum's work reflect the topics of main issues of our time. Russian scientists are focused on finding the best ways to further develop our country in the face of new challenges. Scientific thought, based on the traditions of domestic social and humanitarian thought, is called upon to become the basis for further development.
Dear colleagues, I wish you fruitful communication at the forum, new joint discoveries for the benefit of Russian science!”
Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Economics Alexander Degtyarev spoke about the work of the forum:
“The Ufa Humanitarian Scientific Forum is an important event in the scientific community, which has been taking place in the capital of Bashkortostan for several years. For the first time we are holding it at USATU, because the university is the largest scientific and educational center where serious research is being carried out on humanitarian problems. I hope that the platform of the forum will be interesting and useful. Theorists and practitioners have gathered here, who have something to share with both colleagues and young people. Among the scheduled reports, of course, much attention will be paid to the problems of economic development in the face of new challenges that our country has faced in geopolitical terms. The participation of scientists in the formation of an adequate policy and the development of the economic sphere is extremely important. On the example of USATU, we see a direct connection between scientists-economists and the activities of specialists-engineers working in one of the key sectors of our economy - aircraft engine building. The university is a recognized leader in this area, which we all could see by being acquainted with the best achievements of the university, oriented and already ahead of the 21st century. This is where import substitution is born.”
Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economics Vladimir Ivanov is convinced that we live in an amazing time when a global transformation is taking place in the world.
“And we need to decide where we will develop further,” Vladimir Ivanov emphasized. - To do this, we must understand what is happening in the world, what we have, and from that develop a strategy for our development. This conference is just devoted to consideration of a complex of these problems. A very wide range of issues will be discussed, ranging from global challenges to private ones - the development of territories, the development of universities and specific organizations.
It is very important that the event take place at USATU, because it is one of the leading technical universities in the country, which is already working for the needs of industrial development. There is a very close connection between science, education and production. Those well-equipped laboratories and centers that allow us to solve the problems of import substitution and the restoration of our industry evidence this. I expect that the forum will discuss and understand many of the issues that will form the basis for the development of a new strategy.”
