The final of the Regional stage of the 11th Russian championship "Air Engineering School" of Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov and the State Corporation "Roscosmos" was held at the Pervushino airfield complex.
In the Republic of Bashkortostan, it is held for the second year based on Ufa Aviation College - a structural subdivision of the FSBEI HE "Ufa State Aviation Technical University" with the assistance of the Bashkortostan branch of the Cosmonautics Federation.
The organizers of the championship are Moscow State University named after M. Lomonosov and State Corporation Roscosmos. The Air Engineering School appeared in 2011 as a Russian version of the CanSat international project.
The purpose of the event is the development of scientific and technical creativity of young people, the development of knowledge in the specialties related to aviation and rocket and space technology. The tasks of the championship are the creation of models of rockets and aircraft in the GIRD, UFO and UAV leagues and their launch with the completion of flight tasks.
Chairman of the Regional Organizing Committee Ilgiz Karshanov believes:
- Participation in the Air Engineering School gives schoolchildren and students a real opportunity to start preparing for professional activities in the aerospace industry. Our goal is to form a new generation of specialists for the high-tech industry of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Russian Federation. At the master classes, participants gain knowledge related to the design, manufacture, programming, testing of aircraft, which allow them to creatively solve the problem of creating operating models of aerospace vehicles of varying complexity and launching them in the final of the championship. At the same time, they learn to work in a team and solve complex problems that require perseverance, dedication, the ability to admit mistakes and find new solutions, a sense of responsibility and professional duty is brought up.
The finals of the Regional Stage 11 of the Air Engineering School Championship were attended by teams from Bashkortostan from Ufa, Kumertau: UAC, USATU, BRGI No. 1, USPTU, school No. 8, which successfully prepared their models of missiles, aircraft and UAVs.
After the launches of aircraft in the Ufa Aviation College, defenses of the teams' projects took place. The expert commission included: UGATU professor Vladimir Fetisov, chairman of the expert commission, test cosmonaut Ural Sultanov, deputy chairman of the organizing committee Florida Dikova, member of the FCR and the organizing committee of the championship Sergey Kamenev, veteran of the Baikonur cosmodrome, veteran of the Armed Forces Vladimir Vasiliev.
At the closing of the championship finals, the teams were awarded prizes, diplomas, letters of appreciation to the leaders from the organizers of the Regional stage of the championship, as well as prizes from the Bashkortostan branch of the Cosmonautics Federation.
