In the next 3-4 years, Russia can become completely independent from foreign manufacturers of components for aircraft and avionics, if steps are consistently taken towards the transition to domestic technologies and production. This is what the participants of the Russian forum "Import Independence of Aircraft Manufacturing", which is taking place these days in Ufa at the Ufa State Aviation Technical University.
– Military aviation today practically does not depend on imported components, but in civil aviation, it reaches 60% (for the MS-21 aircraft) and even 80% (for the Sukhoi SuperJet 100). As for the aircraft in operation, the aircraft repair technology has been fully mastered in Russia, spare parts are partially produced. In 3-4 years, the problem of import substitution will be completely resolved, - President of the Union of Aviation Engine Building Association Viktor Chuiko assured.
According to the rector of the USATU Sergey Novikov, it is more correct to talk not about import substitution, but about import advance. That is, about building a scientific and technical base in such a way as to predict in advance the needs of the industry on a global scale. In addition, this requires close cooperation between science, education and industry.
– We – universities and enterprises today are moving towards each other. We are determined to solve specific applied problems of our industrial partners, and in this connection to achieve good results, - said Sergey Novikov.
Rector of St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University Gleb Turichin believes that it is the universities that determine the scientific and technological policy of the industry, and the industry is successfully developing with such support.
- Technical universities are scientific and technological centers and pilot plants that work with the economy. Universities provide new technologies and technological machines to enterprises, Gleb Turichin emphasized.
Vasily Nikitin, First Deputy Head of the Department of PJSC Gazprom, noted the great advantage of USATU over other industry universities in its synergy with UEIA, since the university laboratories have the opportunity to develop technologies for specific production tasks. Thus, USATU does not focus on training, but works closely with consumers and operating organizations. Moreover, UEIA, in return, receives a base for adjustment, according to the results that USATU researchers receive.
– We have already gone through import substitution more than once and have learned how to cope with this task. Our institutes often offer more effective solutions than Western ones, but there is a lack of a tighter connection between production, technological institutes and consumers. Such forums as today are aimed at strengthening these ties, - said Vasily Nikitin.
Unprecedented conditions have been created in Bashkiria for training young personnel for the aircraft industry. Today you can study at USATU and earn money at the same time, being an active worker in a specialized production. In addition, scholarships for the first semester of study for 50 thousand rubles are provided for 100-point students in the Unified State Examination and winners of the Olympiads. There are also targeted payments through the Government of the Republic (scholarships of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan) and corporate payments from enterprises.
In addition, a system of pre-university vocational guidance for schoolchildren is in place - engineering classes are being created in Ufa schools, in which the backbone of the future personnel reserve is formed.
Recall that the government of the Russian Federation is discussing the intention to adjust the strategy for the development of the aviation industry with an emphasis on the country's own resources, including scientific, technological and industrial.
