The British agency Quacquarelli Symonds has published the next edition of the annual ranking of world universities (QS World University Rankings 2023). It covered 1422 universities (previous - 1300 universities).
USATU became the only representative of Bashkortostan in the list of 48 Russian universities (31st place). In the overall ranking, our university took 801+ place among the world's scientific and educational giants.
The rating was conducted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge and Stanford Universities.
The leaders among Russian universities are Moscow State University named after M.V. M.V. Lomonosov - 75th position, having risen to 51st line of the Moscow State Technical University. N.E. Bauman - 230th position and moved down 14 lines NSU.
Rector of the USATU Sergey Novikov noted:
“Increasing the attractiveness of the university in the international space is a recognition of the quality of our educational programs and scientific research, speaks of close ties with partner employers, reflects the effective work of the entire faculty and administration of the university, aimed at increasing its competitiveness.
Our success became possible, among other things, due to the serious interest and great support of the leadership of the republic, the unification of the universities of Bashkortostan within the framework of the world-class Eurasian REC.
The international evaluation of our activities shows in which areas we have achieved good results, and where we still need to work hard. This also determines the tasks that the university faces. We will only move forward!
We emphasize that QS has been publishing the ranking of the best universities in the world since 2004, evaluating educational institutions according to six criteria. Among them - academic reputation (40%), reputation among employers (10%), the ratio of the number of students and the scientific and teaching staff of the university (20%), the share of foreigners in the scientific and teaching staff (5%), the share of foreigners in the total number of students (5%), the number of citations of scientific publications of the university per employee (20%).
