This year, the Ufa State Aviation Technical University is enrolling in 37 bachelor's programs and 11 specialties, for which 1,550 state-funded places have been allocated, 629 of them for IT areas.
The university successfully ran its admissions campaign, meeting all benchmarks and achieving growth in most metrics.
USATU became the leader among Bashkir universities in terms of the number of applications - over seven thousand applicants considered the university as a university for higher education.
The university also recorded the highest rate of competition - it amounted to 19 people per place.
The average USE score of those enrolled in the main places increased compared to last year and amounted to 69.23 points.
USATU was one of the first to complete admission to budgetary places of full-time undergraduate and specialist studies without announcing an additional competition.
Among the first-year students there are 10 winners and prize-winners of Olympiads for schoolchildren accepted without entrance examinations, last year there were only seven of them. Two applicants received 100 points on the result of the exam.
Over 90 first-year students have more than 250 points according to the results of the Unified State Examination in three subjects. And 217 people can boast of a certificate with honors. When entering the applicants, their individual achievements were also taken into account, for example, 383 of them successfully passed the TRP standards.
Another 481 freshmen will study at USATU on a commercial basis. Admission to correspondence courses is open until mid-September.
70 more foreigners chose USATU as a university for education, and in total this year 232 citizens from abroad entered the university.
Most of the first-year bachelor/specialist students are residents of Bashkortostan (1655), of which 839 are from Ufa. Another 150 children from the constituent entities of the Russian Federation came to study with us.
As expected, the IT-sphere became the most demanded and most popular among applicants, where USATU consistently shows very high results in the ratings for employment and salaries of graduates.
The highest score (279) was demonstrated by the applicant who chose the direction "Software Engineering". The maximum passing score (239) was recorded in the direction "Mathematical support and administration of information systems". The highest competition was in the direction of "Applied Mathematics and Informatics" - 29 people per place.
This year, USATU offered applicants TOP-5 directions from the atlas of professions of the future, which will be in demand tomorrow. Among them:
"Digital engineer of virtual simulators and computer games" - the profession of a developer opens the door to the creation of serious programs of strategic importance, for example, an aircraft simulator for pilots or an augmented reality program for rocket science.
"Unmanned vehicle designer" - a specialist who designs and creates electric vehicles or unmanned aerial vehicles, will undoubtedly be in demand and will find application for his skills both in Russia and abroad.
"Automated systems in "smart" production" - today "smart houses", electricity, heat and water supply, agricultural facilities, oil and gas pumping stations, household appliances are automated, so specialists are in demand in large companies of the country from petrochemical industries to aircraft manufacturing.
"EHS-engineering for solving systemic environmental problems" - a safe environment is created by specialists who can assess the resource potential, design large processes, analyze a huge amount of satellite data and predict the environmental situation.
"Startup mentor" - this profession is the future, because it is inextricably linked with the launch of technological startups.
Despite the fact that there was only a commercial recruitment for the "professions of the future", all 5 areas were popular, including among foreign citizens.
