A joint training session was held at the Ufa State Aviation Technical University to practice actions in case of an emergency (attack on site, hostage-taking).

According to plan, a group of armed men entered the territory of the 3rd educational building of the university and took several people hostage. Upon an alarm signal, all students, teachers and staff in the building were urgently evacuated to a safe area.

The university security service worked out an algorithm for promptly informing special and emergency services. To eliminate the threat of a “terrorist act”, rapid response teams from private security companies, police officers, the National Guard, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the university. Students of the Military Training Center of USATU took part in the training cordon of the dangerous territory, who also received practical skills in interacting with law enforcement officers during emergencies.

At the end of the training, the mock terrorists were neutralized and the hostages were released.

Objectives of the exercises: improvement of interaction to suppress possible threats of a terrorist nature; checking the readiness of the dispatching services of the university to act in the event of an emergency; working out the practice of actions in case of emergencies and the elimination of possible consequences; training of students, teachers and employees of emergency evacuation from the building of the university; checking the readiness of the object warning system in case of a threat of an emergency. All tasks were completed, the overall assessment is satisfactory.
