Andrey Nikulin, Head of the Department of UCB Crystal, visited the University. He expressed his gratitude to the staff of the Research Institute "Electrotechnical Complexes and Systems" of the Department of Electromechanics for their joint work on the development of electric motors for the SSJ-New aircraft.

The other day, this news spread all over Russian and foreign media: “Rostec United Engine Corporation has successfully completed the first stage of certification tests of an aircraft engine gas generator for the SSJ-NEW regional airliner. The "heart" of the engine was tested on a unique stand, where the conditions typical for operation at an altitude of up to 12 kilometers were simulated.

Behind this landmark event is the work of hundreds of engineers, designers, researchers from leading corporations, industrial enterprises and scientific institutions of the country. Among them are USATU scientists. Thanks to joint developments with UCB Crystal, in 2021, preliminary and qualification tests were carried out and the first batch of 14 fans was delivered to the prototype aircraft.

- The work was difficult, given the responsibility, tight deadlines and high technical level of the products being developed, - a representative of UCB Crystal said at the meeting. - But we can safely say that our joint development turned out to be even better than imported analogues in a number of indicators.

Recall that the SSJ-NEW project, an updated version of the Superjet 100 aircraft, is being created with the expectation of the maximum use of domestic components. The share of Russian parts and systems in this aircraft should be about 97%, while parts of the equipment of European and American production already have Russian counterparts.

Andrei Nikulin thanked the employees of the USATU - Ilfat Kunsbaev, Vladislav Chirkov, Nikolai Tarasov, Aidar Shaykhlislamov, Aidar Khusainov, Nikita Nalivaiko. Their hands were assembled and tested the first engines.

 In addition, Alexey Zherebtsov, Gulshat Gainelgilemova, Rushana Farrakhova took an active part in the development of the design, project support and preparation of reporting documentation.

Andrey Viktorovich also said special thanks to Professor Flyur Ismagilov and the head of the Department of EM Vyacheslav Vavilov.
