The results of the All-Russian open competition for the best scientific work of students of higher educational institutions implementing educational programs in the field of information security have been concluded. The second round of the competition was held at Federal district levels, and the final round was held in Moscow based on the Federal Educational and Methodological Association in the system of higher education in the group of specialties and areas of training "Information Security" and the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics.

Students of the Department of Computer Science and Information Security have been participating in this competition for several years, but such a great success has been achieved for the first time.

Denis Melnikov, a fourth-year student, became the winner of the competition with the scientific work "System for protecting the internal network from botnet threats." The second place was awarded to Master's student Nail Bashmakov for the scientific work "Method for evaluating information security feeds". A master's student Rinat Khairetdinov won the third place with the scientific work "The system of secure data exchange in the industrial network." All three received impressive cash prizes.

Note that this competition is the most prestigious in Russia in the field of information security.
