May 31 is World No Tobacco Day. The Member States of the World Health Organization established it in 1987 to draw worldwide attention to the tobacco epidemic and the death and disease it causes.

Our students and staff traditionally participate in and organize anti-tobacco education activities themselves. This year, the staff of the Youth Policy Department prepared for students an interesting campaign “Give up a cigarette - get a fruit”, where they offered smokers to exchange a cigarette for a ripe green apple. The purpose of the action is to draw the attention of students to the problem of tobacco addiction and encourage them to give up addiction not only for one day, but also for life.
