The Sverdlovsk Region Cyber-Sport Cup was successfully completed online with the participation of over 120 e-sportsmen.
Team USATU won two categories
The team: Igor Anasty Filatov, Timur OziePozie Akhmetdinov, Damir Tapacheck Rakipov, Rishat Dragon_f1ame Kudrachev (FIR), Artur m3one Mamatov (FAEET) under the guidance of coach Evgeny Petrunin – won the first place in Dota 2.
IATM student Bayras Kometa Guzairov won the 1st place in the game category Hearthstone. He also qualified for the Hearthstone Masters Tour 2021. This is a series of international tournaments hosted by the game developers Blizzard. The top 400 players from all over the world qualify for each tournament. The total cash prize of this tournament is $ 250,000.
In addition to cups, medals and prizes from partners, our cyber-sportsmen became rank one in the cyber-sport competition.
Head of the USATU cyber-sport department, President of the Electronic Sports, Federation of Bashkortostan Svyatoslav Pegov noted, now our team has received credits in physical education subject and is actively training as a sports section in a partner club.
Our VK group https://vk.com/usatuesports has more than 870 subscribers, which indicates a high interest in e-sports at the university. The section cooperates with the trade union bureau of faculties and institutes, the Department for Youth Policy, etc. At the end of the year, we are planning to hold an e-sports tournament for Ufa schoolchildren.
