The ceremony took place on June 2. Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Alexei Elizariev and Deputy Head of the Bashkortostan Regional Branch of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia Alina Mukhamatullina presented prizes and gifts to the winners.

Winners of the Zvezda receive very tangible bonuses - the right to enter the country's best universities on preferential terms, and participants in the final stage of the Olympiad are awarded additional points to the results of the Unified State Examination. A nice bonus is that those enrolled in USATU in 2022 will be paid a special scholarship for 50 thousand rubles a month during the first semester.

Ufa State Aviation Technical University, together with the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia, is both a co-organizer and a traditional regional platform in the Republic of Bashkortostan for holding the IOI Zvezda for students of grades 6-11 in the Natural Sciences profile.

Sabina Sarvartdinova, a seventh-grader of the Ufa school No. 113, says:

“I have been taking part in many competitions since elementary school. I think Zvezda is one of the most difficult, but interesting. Difficulties for me were in physics assignments, because this subject began at school only this year. To be among the winners for me was both a surprise and a great joy, but somewhere in the depths of my soul, I hoped that the current results would be better than last year. The preparation was more serious by the experience of the last year. I have not yet decided on the choice of a future profession, but I can confidently say that it will be connected with the exact sciences. I’m not used to resting on my laurels, so in the 8th grade I will also take part in the Olympiad.”

A pleasant end to the event was the treat of participants with ice cream. By decision of the organizers, now the children's favorite delicacy will become a new tradition of the Olympiad.
