Kazan hosted the Russian Karate Championship, which was attended by over 300 strongest athletes from 39 regions of Russia.

A graduate of the Faculty of Informatics and Robotics, Master of Sports of Russia Dalia Andreeva (Asadullina) won the gold medal in the weight category up to 50 kg, confirming her champion title in 2019 and 2020.

 It should be noted that the athlete has been practicing karate since the age of 13, during the years of study at USATU she played for the university team.

“I love my sport, because mechanics alone are not enough here, you have to think with your head. But you can let off steam from the heart!” Dalia notes.

Last year, in the final of the Russian Championship, the girl was seriously injured and became only a silver medalist. After the operation and recovery, Dalia, like a true fighter, continued training and regained her well-deserved title of the best athlete.

“I had incredibly strong support from family and friends, which is very important for an athlete. In the final, I met with my last year's opponent and proved, first of all, to myself, that only an injury prevented the loss of leadership, ”says the athlete.

In the summer, our graduate got married, moved to Sochi and entered the Russian International Olympic University for the Master of Sports Administration program. The girl plans to perform and develop professionally in the sports direction.

Dalia is sure that the knowledge gained at USATU (she is a systems engineer) will certainly be useful for her to master a new specialty and build a future career.
