In Kabardino-Balkaria, the All-Russian gathering of environmental volunteers "Ecological roll call - 2022" has ended.
Our students - activists of the "Green Project of USATU" became the participants of the rally.
The event was held at the site of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University. HM. Berbekov with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the KBR.
At the opening of the forum, the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the KBR, Ilyas Shavaev, and the head of the NGO “Do!” addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. Andrey Rudnev. Further, in the course of communication, the meeting participants asked the speakers questions about the state of ecology in the republic, lectures were held on the topics of processing hazardous materials and preserving the environment.
As our environmental activists said, during the time spent in the beautiful Elbrus region, they:
- recycled paper into postcards, plastic into phone holders, and banners into cardholders and student ID covers;
- studied oratory, social media management, environmental education activities for young people;
- participated in a community work day at the Azau glade at the foot of Elbrus;
- got to know the culture of the KBR and admired the local nature: it turns out that the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic consists of 44% of protected and specially protected natural areas;
- expanded the networking network of eco-volunteers throughout the country and strengthened their team.
Our students thank their native university, the Department of Youth Policy and the trade union committee of students for the opportunity to get to the best environmental forum in the country.
