On April 28, Ufa will host an expanded meeting of the Council for Regional Policy of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the participation of the leadership of the Republic of Bashkortostan and chairpersons of relevant committees of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
The participants will discuss the problems of Eurasian economic integration, the role of scientific institutions in the implementation of the regional policy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the participation of the regional scientific community in solving the problems of import substitution in various industries.
In addition, in the first half of the day, a large delegation of the Russian Academy of Sciences, headed by President Alexander Sergeev, will visit the laboratories and research centers of the Ufa State Aviation Technical University.
Moscow scientists will be shown the Center for Physical, Mechanical, Metallographic and Thermal Research, the laboratory of additive and foundry technologies, rapid prototyping, the laboratory of aircraft engine designs, a robot machine with parallel kinematics for machining complex-profile parts, and will also demonstrate the development of student design bureaus "Formula student" and "Unmanned aircraft".
Further, a round table will be held at the USATU on the topic “Prospects for cooperation between the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Republic of Bashkortostan in the field of scientific support for the development of natural resources and the development of science-intensive industries: oil, gas and coal chemistry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, agro-industrial sphere, ecology, and in the humanitarian sphere.” It will be attended by the leaders of the Russian Academy of Sciences, their Bashkir colleagues from the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan and representatives of the university community of Bashkortostan.
It is deeply symbolic that the decade of science and technology announced by Vladimir Putin in Russia begins at USATU with the visit of the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeev.
