The university hosted a solemn ceremony of presenting diplomas to the first graduates of the joint magistracy of the Ural State Aviation Technical University and the largest Russian oil company Gazprom Neft PJSC. 14 masters students received the graduation certificates, nine graduates received 1st class diplomas.
Training in the profile of the master's program "Digital Technologies in Corporate Systems" was conducted at the Faculty of Informatics and Robotics by the Department of Automated Control Systems within the framework of the direction "Computer Science and Computer Engineering".
The diplomas were presented by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Alexei Elizariev, Head of the Department of Automated Control Systems Vyacheslav Antonov, Head of the Department for the Development of Development and Testing Tools (Directorate of Innovative Development) of Gazpromneft - Digital Solutions Alexey Dyachkov.
Alexey Elizariev addressed the graduates with a greeting :
“Today is the first edition of a unique program with our partner, which we are very proud of. I am sure that the program will develop, and in many respects thanks to your successes. Being the first is not easy, but honorable and pleasant. So always be the first! I sincerely thank you for the support of your teachers, mentors and parents. I congratulate you and wish you great success, which the graduates of USATU deserve.”
“Now the paradigm of education has changed. Not "education for life", but "education for life". Therefore, I wish you not to rest on your laurels, continue to master new knowledge and are looking forward to seeing you in graduate school,” Vyacheslav Antonov admonished the graduates.
Two years ago, the students were interviewed at Gazpromneft Digital Solutions LLC and were hired with a probationary period, which they all successfully passed.
A flexible study schedule allowed students to perfectly combine study with work. And they were able to apply the acquired skills in their workplaces. It was the focus on the real sector that was put at the forefront of the joint project.
Students gained valuable experience with the latest technologies, studied modern programming languages (C#, JavaScript, Java), mastered a unique course in design solutions architecture modeling (Solutions & Enterprise Architect), got acquainted with the lean manufacturing methodology and much more.
Leading specialists of the company were involved in the educational process, not only from the Ufa office, but also from the head office, who provided knowledge and practices of practical importance. And the undergraduates completed their term papers and graduation papers on real commercial projects.
After graduation, graduates will be able to stay in the company or find a job at any enterprise in the fuel and energy complex.
