Foreign first-year students of the university, together with specialists from the Department of International Cooperation, conquered the peak of Toratau.

The team gathered international students from: Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Yemen, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Colombia, Ecuador. Despite the language differences, everyone understood each other perfectly and found new friends.

The ascent began with a “circle of acquaintance”, after which, holding hands together like relatives, they climbed up. True, some people were afraid of heights and returned down.

But those who overcame the entire route to the top were delighted with the beauty of the marvelous landscape below. Closing their eyes, the guys made wishes, played, shouted to release negative energy, and also sang songs together and took pictures. We were returning through a colorful forest, rustling with autumn foliage. Foreign students returned to the campus tired, but full of positive emotions and unforgettable impressions.

Note that Toratau is one of the oldest mountains on Earth, it is about 285 million years old. Until now, fossils with imprints of ancient flora and fauna can be found on the mountain.

The relative height of the shihan is 270 meters.

Translated from the Bashkir "Toratau" means "fortress-mountain". There is a version that at its foot there was a fortress of the Nogai Khan. This is the most famous mountain of the Bashkir Shikhans. Since ancient times, it has been called the "Land of Yurmata" after the tribe of the same name that lived here. The mountain was considered sacred, cult ceremonies were performed here, praising the deity of the Turkic peoples - the sky god Kuk-Tarahe. At the foot of the mountain there is a very beautiful, transparent lake Tugar-Salgan.
