By tradition, on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day, a solemn event was held at the university dedicated to the assignment of primary military ranks of "lieutenant" and the presentation of degree certificates to graduates of the Military Training Center.

The head of the MTC, Colonel Evgeny Sotnikov, opened the festive celebration:

“In July 2021, 49 lieutenants graduated in three military specialties, all of them are currently successfully serving in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. And today, six more young officers are leaving the university walls, having studied for five and a half years in the specialty “Design of aircraft and rocket engines” at the Faculty of Aircraft Engines, Energy and Transport.”

Then he read out the order of the Russian Minister of Defense on personnel, according to which young officers will go to serve in the Central, Southern, Eastern military districts and in the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation.

Alexey Elizariev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the rector and the university administration:

“I am glad to congratulate you on this significant day, which will remain in your memory forever. I am sure that the lieutenant stars will be the first, but not the last in your military career. I hope you will always remember your teachers, officers and mentors. Today's army is a complex technical service, but the knowledge gained at the university will help you in the military profession. The doors of our native aviation are always open for you. Be proud of the high title of a graduate of the USATU, and we will be proud of your further success!”

Acting Military Commissar of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ramil Khairutdinov addressed the graduates with parting words:

“Graduation from an educational institution is always the most memorable event in life, and I wholeheartedly congratulate you on graduating from your studies and conferring your first military rank. Never forget your parents who supported you throughout your years of study. In addition, of course, their teachers who passed on their knowledge and experience to you. During your service, you will have difficulties, but no matter what, you must confidently go forward. I congratulate you on the upcoming holiday Defender of the Fatherland Day; I wish you well-being and successful service!”

In his speech, the assistant rector for military education, Rustem Shagabutdinov, noted:

“I still remember the moment of my graduation from the military school, although almost 40 years have passed, because this is an unforgettable event. Moreover, today I feel joy and pride for you, because you are replenishing the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Worthy bear the title of Russian officer and graduate of UGATU!"

 The mother of the graduate Aigul Kurmakaeva thanked all the officers and teaching staff of the MTC for the knowledge gained and the worthy upbringing of her son.

In response, on behalf of the newly minted lieutenants, Ramil Kharisov expressed gratitude and respect to the officers and teaching staff of the MTC.

"You can rely on us, we will not let you down!" concluded the young officer.
