Participation of USATU in holding the International Aerospace School. U.N. Sultanov (IAS) has a long tradition. Since 2012, teachers, students and university staff have been giving lectures, holding various events with students of the school, including winners of various olympiads and competitions, primarily the Olympiad in the history of aviation and aeronautics. A.F. Mozhaisky. Among the 48 students this year are not only schoolchildren from Bashkiria, but also from the Chelyabinsk region and even Syzran. 

The opening of the XI summer season of IAS took place on July 1 in the village. Kalinovka, Davlekanovsky district. Among the guests of honor were Hero of Russia, pilot-cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko, honored veteran of the cosmonaut corps, which IAS named after Ural Sultanov. At the ceremony, our university was represented by Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Youth Policy Valentin Solodovnik. On this day, congratulations and greetings from the guests were heard, and a bust of the founder of Soviet and Russian cosmonautics, Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, was unveiled.

Then the students began an active shift - lectures and classes with astronauts, scientists, meetings with interesting people. The share of USATU occupies a significant place in the educational program. So, the senior lecturer of the Military Training Center, Lieutenant Colonel Azamat Sadykov, together with the cadets of the MTC, spoke about military training at the USATU, conducted a practical lesson on assembling and disassembling the machine gun and using the OZK. The children took part in these activities with great interest.

Professor Mikhail Filimonov gave the audience a lecture on the biography of Yu.A. Gagarin, in which he revealed little-known details of the life path of the legendary cosmonaut. And in the evening, under the guidance of the head of the career guidance department, Sergei Li, a concert of the author's song "An Evening with a Guitar" was held.

The next day, Professor Mikhail Filimonov gave another lecture on the contribution of the Republic of Bashkortostan to the development of the aviation and space industry in our country. Sergey Li spoke about the benefits of studying at USATU and career guidance events held for schoolchildren.

Participants met with Associate Professor Sergei Kamenev, who will tell about the history of the aviation and space industry in Russia, and an entertaining lecture by Associate Professor Anna Shishkina on astronomy.

So the International Aerospace School is a wonderful change that will not only allow the children to relax and gain strength, but also to gain a lot of interesting useful knowledge and make new friends.
