Our young guests, guys from the LPR and DPR, said with one voice after visiting our university.
It is no coincidence that the university session at USATU was called the "Aerospace School". "University shifts" is a large-scale educational project supported by 40 universities of the country, thanks to which 11,000 children of Donbass will have thematic shifts and get acquainted with the culture and history of Russian regions.
Day one: On July 22, the train with guests and accompanying persons arrived at the Ufa railway station. They were met by employees, teachers, activists of the student trade union committee and university volunteers.
The university carefully prepared for the arrival of schoolchildren: the teachers developed an educational block, the Youth Policy Department compiled an entertainment program, and the excursion route was carefully worked out. The student trade union committee has prepared super-counselors who live these days in the interests of children, help them in everything, and conduct reflection.
By unanimous opinion, it was decided that the guys would live and dine on the USATU campus in order to fully recharge with the atmosphere of the aviation university.
On July 23, the opening of the Aerospace School was launched. The shift was opened by the rector Sergey Novikov. He wished the children a good rest and invited them to study at USATU.
The culmination of the day was the festive opening of the race. The cover band Play Band came to greet the participants of the school, finishing the performance with "golden" confetti, which delighted all the spectators. And then there was an incendiary disco, fun games, cotton candy and a photo booth. And in the competition for the best dancing team, all the guys were so active that no one was left without a gift - souvenirs.
The accompanying Olga Troyan , a primary school teacher from the city of Yenakiyevo (DPR), shared her impressions of the two days in Ufa :
- This is my first time in Ufa. I really liked the city, I learned so much information from a fascinating tour of the Bashkir capital. I confess that I would love to drive around Ufa again: so much greenery, high-rise buildings and friendly residents. Ufa residents are very hospitable people, I was convinced of this personally.
I was very impressed by your laboratory and testing complex "Airport". You know, seeing combat aircraft in the sky and on the ground are two different things.
We also got acquainted with the Bashkir cinema. We watched the youth comedy "From Ufa with Love". The kids really enjoyed the movie. And I’ll add: great hostels, healthy food and everyone is in a good mood.”
Today, July 24, the participants of the "Aerospace School" became guests of our university. They visited the laboratory-museum of aircraft engine designs, the brand zone of PJSC UEC-UMPO, the Boeing 737 procedural simulator, the Ufanet brand zone, SDB Power Machines and the Nanotech Shared Use Center.
Our laboratory-museum AD is one of the main brands of USATU. There are only two such unique collections of aircraft engines in Russia - in Ufa and Samara. Our museum has more than 50 exhibits reflecting the history of the development of engine building from the 40s of the last century to the present day. The subject of special pride is the AL-31F engine numbered 001, manufactured at UMPO for the Su-27 supersonic fighter and its modifications (chief designer - head of the Saturn Design Bureau A.M. Lyulka). In the late 1980s, the engine was donated to the university. The guide, senior teacher Nikolai Simonov, told the children about this and many other things.
“The students are very inquisitive,” he said. - Of course, they are not yet experts in aviation technology, but they show interest. Like all schoolchildren, they love to be photographed with our exhibits.
Now let's ask the students about their first impressions:
Chekaleva Alexandra, 15 years old.
- We went to Ufa for two days by train, the trip was not easy for me, but it was worth it! Only two days in the city, but so many impressions. Excellent counselors, kind and friendly staff, excellent organization. Of the attractions, I liked the mosque and the fountain "Seven angels". In aviation, I liked flying on a Boeing simulator. Although I am more of a humanist, I will think about studying at your university.
Danil Sekinaev is more interested in technology, he graduated from the 10th grade and is already thinking about choosing a university:
- I am considering universities in Rostov, but I am very impressed with the Ufa Aviation Institute. We were told about his high ratings, history, traditions, and I saw foreign students, which speaks of his fame abroad.
Danil, we are waiting for you, like all the guys, to study with us!
