Seven of our master’s students of the group MA-174M began their studies at the Faculty of Digital Industrial Technologies of the St. Petersburg State Maritime Technical University. Thus, USATU and SMTU are implementing a network educational program “Laser and additive technologies in aircraft engine building”.

The program is a pilot project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on the use of existing centers of excellence in the interests of the entire educational system of the country. It is implemented based on a network agreement between the two universities and is designed for two years. During these two years, undergraduates will study successively at SMTU and at USATU.

The first group of students from Ufa has already started their studies. Here are their impressions.

Nikita Khrustalev:

"The hostels and buildings are excellent, the management is friendly, but there was not enough detailed information about how to get to the university from the airport on the documents."

Eden Slatenko:

“It's excellent, we are not just looking at the equipment, but directly work with it. They give us a task, give us the control and leave. They trust us! Top living conditions. Everything is very good".

Alexey Kolesnikov:

“I liked the lectures, both in the distance and in contact learning. The teachers explain everything in detail, in an understandable manner. Working directly with equipment, not just theory. "

Fairuza Ilikaeva:

“It is very convenient that the hostel and the university are located on the same territory, no time is wasted on the road. Industrial robotics is actually an interesting subject, we study in a laboratory where young specialists work, which is very helpful in communication. I will not say that everything is straightforward and clear, it takes time, but the teachers try to convey everything in an understandable manner. "

Miroslava Peftibai:

“I think that the walking distance of the hostel and the university is a big plus, the living conditions are excellent and very comfortable. Only drawbacks are distance to the metro and the price of public transport - a problem in big cities. Since the city is unfamiliar, you need to plan routes in advance, navigate by maps. However, the opportunity to see the cultural capital of the country is very pleasing. The training itself brings positive emotions, since there is an opportunity not only in theory, but also in practice to gain new knowledge. Nevertheless, you need to be able to listen and assimilate the information received. Thank you for giving us perspectives for a brighter future! "

Marat Davletov:

“The hostel is excellent, close to the university, it's convenient. Good infrastructure – bus stop and shops are nearby. I feels that they do not just teach, but convey knowledge, explain well. It is great that the theory can be put into practice right away. "

It should be noted that a lot of preparatory work preceded the signing of the agreement between the universities - the delegations of universities made mutual visits, during which they were acquainted with the advanced technologies and developments of scientific schools in various fields.
