The official visit of the USATU delegation headed by the rector Sergey Novikov to Moscow ended with a meeting at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and negotiations with the chief managing partner for urban development VEB.RF, the general director of the non-profit organization Monotowns Development Fund Irina Makiyeva.

Topical issues of creating a modern leisure infrastructure for students were discussed at the Ministry of Education and Science. On the agenda is the development of projects for the modernization and construction of student camps, sports, recreation and leisure facilities of state educational institutions of higher education using public-private partnership mechanisms and concession agreements, including leisure camps, stadiums, sports complexes.

Discussions continued at the meeting with Irina Makieva, on the renovation project for the dormitories of our campus, which is being developed jointly with the development corporation VEB.RF. On the site of five four-story buildings built in the 60s of the last century, it is planned to build a modern student hostel for 1800 people. Other measures are also being developed to modernize the residential complex and the territory of our campus. All proposals are considered in detail and supported by the management of VEB.RF. Joint work on the project continues.
