The results of the 2022 competition for grants from the Russian Science Foundation in the priority areas of the RSF activity “Conducting fundamental scientific research and exploratory scientific research by individual scientific groups” (regional competition) have been published.

The project "Development of the scientific foundations of the technology for obtaining heat-resistant coatings based on MAX-phases Ti-Al-C and complex oxides of the Y-Al-O system for protection against high-temperature corrosion of intermetallic alloys" led by Professor Kamil Ramazanov received grant support from the Russian Science Foundation for 2022- 2024 years.

It should be noted that representatives from 42 regions of Russia took part in this year's competition, according to the results of the examination, 119 projects of scientific groups were supported. The main goal of the Fund's regional competitions is to involve and use the scientific potential of the subjects of the Federation to solve the problems of their socio-economic development.

Currently, modern heat-resistant steels and alloys do not meet the requirements stated by the designers of advanced aerospace products, scientists say. - Our task is to create heat-resistant coatings for protection against high-temperature corrosion of intermetallic alloys based on MAX-phases Ti-Al-C and complex oxides of the Y-Al-O system. It is coatings on this basis that have great prospects for application in aircraft engine building. In addition, during the work on the project, scientific articles will be published in international journals, which will increase the university's rating and attract young researchers.
