Today, the Science Slam movement is actively promoted in the world, where young scientists intelligibly and with humor talk about the most complex achievements of modern science.

The international project for the popularization of science originated in Germany. Everything is quite simple: on the stage of a bar or club, young scientists talk about the main scientific ideas of our time and their own research. Each slammer has 10 minutes to convey his idea to the audience as accessible, fun and interesting as possible, and the audience determines the best with applause.

Three rules of Science Slam:

1. Only your scientific research.

2. 10 minutes for each performance.

3. The speech must be understandable to the general public.

In Russia, the format has existed since 2012. During this time, the Science Slam Russia Association has held more than 400 slams, where more than 1,000 Russian scientists spoke.

The University Science Slam League started in 2022 thanks to the Science Slam Association and the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
