USATU FOR THE FIRST TIME CAME INTO THE GLOBAL RANKING OF THE BEST UNIVERSITIES IN THE PLANET
The university took 701th place in the ranking of 1300 leading educational institutions in the world, prepared by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). In the list of 48 Russian universities included in the rating, USATU is on the 25th place.
USATU became the only representative of Bashkortostan and received the highest category VH in terms of research activity.
“To be in the top of the world's scientific and educational giants is a great honor and a high award for our university,” says the rector of USATU Sergei Novikov. - This suggests that the university has chosen the right direction and is moving towards achieving its goal of becoming a world-class university. But this does not mean that we have achieved everything. This is the new challenge we are taking! We must not only hold on to this position, but also make a leap forward. "
Moscow State University became the leader from Russia. M.V. Lomonosov (78th place in the world). Following that, the highest positions were taken by St. Petersburg State University (242), Novosibirsk State University (246) and Tomsk State University (272).
The USATU company was composed of the Russian Economic University named after G.V. Plekhanov and the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI". Kazan National Research Technological University, Novosibirsk State Technical University, Perm and Tyumen State Universities turned out to be an order of magnitude lower (801-850 place).
Note that QS has been publishing a ranking of the best universities in the world since 2004, evaluating educational institutions according to six criteria. Among them - academic reputation (40% of the total score), the ratio of the teaching staff to the number of students (20%), the citation index (20%), reputation among employers (10%), the proportion of foreign students (5%) and the proportion of foreign teachers (5%).
