The Moscow office of the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe (WHO/Europe) hosted a meeting on the use of no communicable disease surveillance data to improve the quality of care.
It was attended by members of the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the Faculty of Avionics, Energy and Info communications Professor Naufal Zagidullin and Associate Professor Irina Lakman.
The meeting was chaired by acting. Head of the WHO European Office for the Prevention and Control of No communicable Diseases, Dr. Kremlin Wickramasinghe.
At the meeting, an interesting report was made by the Head of the Athens Office for the Quality of Care, Special Advisor to the Regional Director of WHO/Europe Dr. Joao Breda, in which he gave examples of the work of the WHO Office for the Quality of Care in Athens. Equally helpful was the presentation by Dr. Ivo Rakovac (Czech Republic), who spoke about data sources and individual products related to the quality of care.
In addition to foreign guests, Dr. Sergey Timonin from the International Laboratory for Population and Health (Higher School of Economics), Dr. Alexander Kudryavtsev from the Department of Innovative Programs (Northern State Medical University), Dr. Sergey Soshnikov from the Department of International Health Projects (First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov).
As Irina Lakman noted, USATU scientists presented a report on the use of modern survival modeling tools, and shared the results of identifying predictors of the risk of death in patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and within a year after the disease.
