Rector Sergey Novikov, met with Albina Dolmatova, a student activist of the university and the founder of the shelters for homeless animals "White Cat" and "Second Life" at USATU. The event was held as part of the "Day of Good Deeds at USATU".
- Such a meeting is held in of our technical university for the first time, - said the rector. - I know that aviation students are ready to help our smaller brothers in this difficult time. We have many students who are caring, bright, and have full of ideas who can do large-scale good projects.
The conversation left no one indifferent. Albina Alyamovna is a well-known person in the republic, an animal rights activist, the owner of shelters for abandoned animals, in one of which about 700 pets live today. Many of them are sick and need treatment.
- Yes, we need any help: from walking the animals to doing chores and buying food. Nevertheless, we need information support - the creation of pages on official websites and communication channels in social networks. I am addressing you as future engineers, IT-specialists! - Albina Dolmatova said at the meeting.
FIR students proposed to organize a thematic hackathon, representatives of the social and legal commission plan to send USATU volunteers to animal shelters, and one of the meeting participants shared her dream of organizing her own nursery and asked for professional advice.
- In this case, there are no standard solutions, everything goes according to the dictates of the soul and the call of the heart, - answered Albina Alyamovna.
At the end of the meeting, Rector Sergey Novikov presented our guests with a charitable certificate in the amount of 50,000 rubles and signed an agreement on the part of the USATU on the issue of helping animals without owners. Legality, disinterestedness, openness and humanity will be the defining principles in the work of all parties.
