The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (Moscow) hosted the second All-Russian Forum of Employers on Career Guidance for Youth. The participants discussed the activities of companies, authorities and educational organizations in the direction of employment and training.
USATU was represented by a professional orientation specialist of the Office for Work with Applicants Aigul Kireeva.
Among the forum participants were representatives of employers (PJSC Kamaz, PJSC Rosatom, JSC PO Sevmash, JSC Atomenergoremont, etc.), educational institutions and heads of career guidance projects.
According to Aigul Kireeva, topical topics were voiced at the forum: features of generation Z, the role of parents in career guidance, gamification, government programs, etc. We were looking for answers to the questions “at what age should career guidance begin?” and “how can universities and colleges make students fall in love with professions?”.
Participants actively asked questions, revealed pain points that inevitably arise when young people move from school to universities and from universities to work.
To develop solutions on these issues, the organizers of the event divided all participants into working groups. As a result of the brainstorming, each of them presented their proposals on quantitative and qualitative indicators of the effectiveness of career guidance activities. After consideration by a special commission, these indicators will be approved as recommendations for employers and educational institutions.
