USATU WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM OF ACADEMIC EXCHANGE WITH GERMANY
Sergei Novikov met with the rector of the St. Petersburg Mining University on the participation of the Ufa State Aviation Technical University in the exchange program of Russian and German graduate students and candidates of science. During the conversation, the rector of USATU thanked Vladimir Litvinenko for the offer of joint work in this matter.
In July this year, St. Petersburg Mining University and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) signed an agreement on joint implementation of the Natural Resources - Energy - Sustainability program. Within the framework of this program, young Russian scientists - postgraduates and candidates of science will be allocated grants for research projects in Germany.
Note that not only representatives of the Mining University can participate in the competition, but also its partners-participants of the Nedra consortium. This community unites more than 50 Russian universities, whose areas of study are related to the training of specialists for the mineral resource complex. USATU is one of them.
The program provides for the allocation of grants in two categories for training and internship at universities in Germany:
- Postgraduate students - the term of study is 6 months;
- Young candidates of sciences (up to 35 years old) - 3 months.
The selection is carried out by a competition committee consisting of Russian and German scientists.
The program is financed 50/50 by the German and Russian parties.
St. Petersburg Mining University and the UNESCO International Center act as the guarantor of financial support for the program from the Russian side. Moreover, we are talking not only about compensation for the cost of travel, accommodation and meals, but also about monthly payments to program participants in the amount of 1200 and 2300 euros.
In total, 20 Russian scientists will go to Germany for training next year, with 8 years of the agreement, that number will increase up to 160.
Registration for the competition will last until September 15. The stage of the implementation of grants starts on February 1, 2022.
