A delegation of Gazprom transgaz Ufa headed by General Director Shamil Sharipov visited USATU. The main purpose of the visit is to expand interaction between our university and the leading enterprise of the fuel and energy complex of Bashkortostan.
- Our university and Gazprom Transgaz Ufa have been fruitfully cooperating for a long time in relevant research areas and in training highly qualified personnel for the gas transportation industry in the region. USATU has a basic department of the enterprise, which we plan to improve and "reboot" to solve the problems of the future, - said the rector Sergey Novikov.
The guests were introduced to the advanced laboratories of the Unified Innovation Complex of the university, leading research centers, student design bureaus, experimental assembly sites, and were shown a robot-machine with parallel kinematics developed at USATU. Representatives of Gazprom transgaz Ufa were interested in scientific developments and innovative technologies used in the fuel and energy industry.

One of the main events of the visit was the opening of a scientific space at the university - an eco-laboratory for the safe use of recycling and immersive technologies.
Ecolaboratory was created to solve the problems of training specialists in the field of environmental, industrial and fire safety, as well as in the field of labor protection using virtual and augmented reality technologies. Immersive technologies make it possible to use all the advantages of visual means in the process of developing students' competencies through deep immersion in a virtual environment. Virtual simulators are actively used to simulate various accidents in production and work out the actions of personnel, to provide assistance to victims in emergency condition
- And the advantage of our university here is in the close cooperation of different faculties, each of which knows the specifics of activities and typical emergency situations for a particular industry, and therefore we can conduct training for specialists from different enterprises, - emphasized at the opening of the laboratory the acting dean of the Faculty of Defense in emergencies Irina Vdovina. - Technically, we will be able to create such simulators in collaboration with the Faculty of Informatics and Robotics, where this year recruitment for a specialty aimed at developing virtual simulators and computer games will take place.
A new bachelor's program "Environmental, health and safety - Engineering for solving systemic environmental problems" is also opening in the next academic year. A distinctive feature is the integration of the competencies of the FCDEM and FIR, which are aimed at training environmental specialists who have systems thinking and are versed in modern IT technologies used to solve environmental problems.
- You can also see the word "recycling technologies" in the name of the laboratory. This component will be presented in the form of a bicycle shredder, which will allow shredding plastic lids, thereby preparing them for further processing, plus combining with this process, albeit a small, but physical activity. This project became the winner of the Innosocium competition, and now its author, 2nd year student Kamilla Chuvashaeva, is going to the St. Petersburg Economic Forum to present it to the Minister of Higher Education and Science of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov, - said Irina Vdovina.
Rector Sergey Novikov, General Director Shamil Sharipov, company representatives made a joint photo as a keepsake. Very soon it will decorate the walls of the eco-laboratory, where, according to the assurances of the students, "they will create super-modern technologies."
The visit ended with a meeting on the possibilities of interaction between USATU and Gazprom Transgaz Ufa. Issues of cooperation in research activities and contractual work, as well as the educational field and targeted training programs were discussed.
