We study factory science: super-workshops have opened at USATU

On October 29, at the Ufa State Aviation Technical University opened a network of secondary vocational education workshops on the priority competencies for the Republic of Bashkortostan in the direction of "Industrial and Engineering Technologies”. This became possible thanks to the grant by the federal project "Young Professionals (Increasing the Competitiveness of Professional Education)" of the national project "Education". The total amount of funds allocated for the workshops estimated as 77 million rubles. Almost 45 million rubles from the federal budget, 9 million rubles from the government of Bashkortostan – 20 million from the PJSC “UEC-UEBPA” and 3 million rubles by the university.

Two workshops opened at the PJSC “UEC-UEBPA”- an industrial partner of USATU in the areas of "Turning on CNC machines" and "Additive manufacturing".

Rector of USATU Sergei Novikov, Managing Director of PJSC "UEC-UEBPA" Evgeny Semivelichenko, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Bashkortostan Aibulat Khazhin, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Bashkortostan Inessa Kosolapova, Director of the Ufa Aviation Technical School (part of USATU) Ilgiz Karshanov, teachers and students attended the opening.

“All workshops are equipped with advanced and expensive equipment,” said the rector of USATU Sergei Novikov at the opening, “which will significantly improve the level of training of our graduates in the demanded specialties. This meets the challenges of the times and helps to train real competitive professionals. The workshops meet the requirements of international standards of the non-profit association WorldSkills, which aims to improve the status and qualifications of workers around the world. We can train teams and hold championships in accordance with WorldSkills standards at the sites of our workshops.

Further, the guests survey the premises and equipment of the workshops.

“The opening of modern workshops is a big step forward in training highly qualified personnel,” noted Yevgeny Semivelichenko. - This will allow us to cooperate more closely and fruitfully with the aviation university in the direction of dual and targeted training of students with further employment at our company.

The students have already started their studies and working in front of the monitors with enthusiasm.

- In the last three years, the situation in the system of secondary vocational education has changed: equipping with new equipment, opening modern workshops is a big impetus in the development of our colleges. Thanks to the cooperation of colleges and our companies, the issues of employment of graduates are being resolved. In addition, what is especially important is the integration of the system of secondary vocational education with production, which makes it possible to train personnel under the order of the employer, - emphasized the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Bashkortostan Aibulat Khazhin.

The minister also asked the students whether they liked their jobs.

- It is very convenient, spacious and, most importantly, the availability of the latest software that allows you to create a 3-D model of the finished product, - Pavel Sheryshev, a third-year student of the UAC, shared his impressions with the minister.
Pavel is studying in a targeted direction from UEBPA and after graduating from the technical school he will work at the company. Therefore, now Pavel solves problems in conditions as close as possible to production.

Two more workshops "Electronics" and "CAD Engineering Design" are located at the UAC sites. Where training sessions are already in full swing, students are solving production problems.

- We received a federal grant in the direction of "Industrial and Engineering Technologies", - said the director of UAC Ilgiz Karshanov. - This was not a sudden choice: it corresponds to the scientific, technical and innovative development of our republic, cooperation with our industrial partners, the activities of the university and our main mission - training mid-level specialists.

Therefore, activities in the competence "Electronics" aimed at creating and testing electronic equipment, designing and testing circuits, as well as identifying and eliminating faults. Future specialists learn to carry out complex projects with work on the creation of electronic systems, design of prototype circuits, installation and commissioning of equipment, as well as customer service, maintenance, etc.
In the CAD Engineering Design workshop, the computer software is the main tool for creating and improving industrial production projects - from shipbuilding to the aerospace complex. Computer modeling (CAD) involves the use of computer technology and software to create, edit, analyze and optimize engineering designs, which improves quality and accuracy and makes work more efficient. By the way, this workshop is equipped with a special workplace for students with disabilities.
At the end of the meeting, Deputy Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Bashkortostan Inessa Kosolapova shared her impressions:

“Thanks to the university administration, teachers and students for the excursion. The equipment in the workshops has the newest technology, and we will consider them as competitive grounds for the VII Regional Championship “Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia). I am sure that in the future, WorldSkills champions will be trained here, vocational guidance events will be held, and all residents of the region will be trained here: from schoolchildren to older people ”
