USATU met 12 first-year students of the Donetsk National Technical University.
Yesterday, the guys and their curator settled in the dormitory of the USATU campus, and today they were waiting for the first introductory day with the university. The first-year students are a bit tired from the road, but they are full of strength and desire to comprehend university science at our university.
It should be noted that the project to provide educational services to representatives of the Donbass university in the 2022/2023 academic year in Russia is being implemented within the framework of the relevant agreement on scientific and educational cooperation, concluded on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin dated July 10, 2022. St. Petersburg Mining University became one of the first partners of the project. The other day the university accepted fifty-three first-year students of DonNTU together with two curators. Several members of the Consortium of Universities of the Mineral and Raw Materials Complex "Nedra" joined Gorny's initiative to provide support to their Donetsk colleagues. Among them - UGATU. 55 Donetsk first-year students will receive higher education at the Ufa Aviation Technical University and St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.
- Basically, students of IT-directions came to us: information systems and technologies, mathematics and computer skills, information security and others, - Alexey Elizariev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, commented on the event. - They have their own curriculum, slightly different from ours, but all the basic parts of engineering training are preserved. Classes for the DON-101 group will be held in the same lecture room, but all practical and laboratory classes will be in specialized classes. Tutors and curators are assigned to the children, and the educational component is also included in the educational process.
On Saturday, the first-year students from Donetsk will have a sightseeing tour of the Bashkir capital, on Sunday - the favorite sports competitions of aviation students - Aviastarts. And today they were warmly welcomed by university staff - representatives of all departments of the university, volunteers familiarized the guys with the infrastructure of the campus.
On Monday, students will begin full-fledged training, which will last the entire academic year.
