A solemn ceremony of awarding the laureates of the State Republican Youth Prizes in the field of science and technology took place in the Government House. Diplomas were presented by the head of the administration of the Head of Bashkortostan Maxim Zabelin.

Among the laureates is a youth research team of employees of the Department of Welding, Foundry and Additive Technologies: Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Roman Nikiforov, senior lecturers Vitaly Galimov and Oksana Murugova. Young scientists performed work for the UEC-UMPO as part of the development of the technology for welding the low-pressure turbine support housing of the PD14 engine. We developed a robotic welding technology that makes it possible to obtain a defect-free welded joint, and also carried out large-scale mathematical modeling in order to find the order of suturing, which reduces the deformation of the TSH support housing.

“My colleagues and I are very pleased with such a high award and are proud that we are making a worthy contribution to the treasury of achievements of our native university. It was not expected that this would be an official celebration in the Government House with the award of a badge. The amount of the award is 150 thousand rubles, which we will share in equal shares,” Oksana Murugova comments.

We add that in April Oksana successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis at the Moscow State Technical University. Bauman is still waiting for confirmation of the Higher Attestation Commission.
