On June 10, the Ufa State Aviation Technical University will host the grand opening of the First Regional Championship of the “Digital Breakthrough. Season: artificial intelligence.
The ceremony starts at 13.00 in the Veeam laboratory (building 6 of the USATU).
The championship is held in cascade mode in 25 regions online, the first of the regional hackathons will be held in Bashkortostan.
Within the framework of the event, strategic sessions with the participation of representatives of Gazprom Neft PJSC, leading scientists and university teachers, a master class on methods and algorithms based on the use of artificial intelligence, as well as analysis of training tasks with experts from Digital Breakthrough will be held at the Ufa State Aviation Technical University.
Within a month, participants from all over the country will solve the problem online using machine learning and artificial intelligence methods from the Ministry of Digital Development of Public Administration of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Participants will create and train an ML model for monitoring container sites before and after waste removal based on a dataset and photo reports and identify problem areas. Residents of the Republic of Bashkortostan annually "produce" more than a million tons of municipal solid waste (MSW). Among the main aspects that are under the close attention of the population is the timely removal of MSW from places of their accumulation. Control over the timeliness of MSW removal is carried out using satellite navigation equipment and photo reports sent to the regional information system "MSW - Bashkortostan".
The solutions developed by the participants (model) will help MSW operators to automate reporting and optimize the work of utilities.
By setting the developers the task of creating and training an ML model, the leadership of the Republic of Bashkortostan can significantly improve the convenience of its services by analyzing consumer behavior at a qualitatively new level.

Season: artificial intelligence”: search, development and support of talented, promising professionals who want to create products and services using artificial intelligence technologies, increasing the level of providing the Russian AI technology market with qualified personnel, as well as the formation and development of the AI community, popularization, development and product development using artificial intelligence.
The Digital Breakthrough contests have been held for the third year now under the auspices of the Russia – Land of Opportunity platform, an autonomous non-profit organization established in 2018 at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The platform brings together 26 competitions, projects and olympiads, each of which has its own audience and offers different paths to success. Over the 3 years of the platform's operation, 10 million people from all regions of Russia and 150 countries of the world have become participants in its projects, and more than 1,500 companies, universities, government and public organizations have become partners.
