The qualifying round of the quarterfinals of the World Championship in Sports Programming took place at the USATU.

The competitions were held in a mixed format, some of the teams participated in the online mode, each team had three participants.

Of the seven student teams of the university, five reached the quarterfinal round, which is going to take place on October 29 in Yekaterinburg at the site of the Ural Federal University (UFU). In the overall standings, the best university teams from FIR students are on the 18th, 20th, 36th, 43rd and 44th lines out of 394 participating teams.

It should be noted that since September, twice a week, active training has been conducted at the university in preparation for the line of championships in sports programming under the coordination of acting. Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Robotics Alexey Kovtunenko and Associate Professor of the Department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics Yulia Valiakhmetova.
