The delegation of USATU headed by Rector Sergey Novikov visited the Rybinsk State Aviation Technical University named after P.A. Solovyov (Yaroslavl region).

The city of Rybinsk has played an important role in the history of our university. In 1932, the aviation institute formed in Rybinsk became actively involved in the training of qualified specialists for the rapidly developing aviation industry of the country. In connection with the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the university was evacuated to Ufa. All the hardships of wartime fell to his lot. On November 10, 1942, an order was signed, according to which the permanent location of the institute was established in Ufa and it was given the name: Ufa Aviation Institute named after Ordzhonikidze. Therefore, the city of Rybinsk is secretly called our historical homeland, and the current Rybinsk State Aviation Technical University named after P.A. Solovyov is a close relative.

Today USATU has close educational, scientific, industrial ties with RSATU named after P.A.Solovyev, industrial enterprises of the Yaroslavl region (PJSC "UEC-Saturn", etc.), leading companies (JSC "Russian Mechanics").

During the visit, the USATU delegation got acquainted with the scientific and educational potential of the university, met with representatives of scientific schools, discussed further prospects for cooperation in the implementation of innovative technologies for the aviation, energy, information and defense sectors of the economy, the creative development of youth engineering design bureaus and technology schools, commercialization of innovations.
